GAGOC and Xinhua discuss cooperation on AGNS

Beijing, February 9 - Ren Tianhua, Deputy Director of the Broadcasting & Media Services Department of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC), visited the headquarters of the Xinhua News Agency in Beijing on January 27. The two sides talked about details of cooperation on the Asian Games News Service (AGNS) project.

Zhang Xiaohua, a representative of Xinhua, met Mr Ren and looked forward to working with GAGOC to provide outstanding news service for the 2010 Asian Games. In addition, he gave an introduction of the history and strategic transition of Xinhua.

Mr Ren briefed Mr Zhang on GAGOC's preparations on the AGNS. He said it is an honour for GAGOC to work with the national news agency of China and thanked the staff of Xinhua headquarters and its Guangdong branch for their constant support.

Xinhua's experts for the AGNS project and representatives from its Guangdong branch also took part in the discussion.
