18-metre BRT bus to run next month

Six 18-metre long BRT buses are soon to begin operating on BRT route No. 1, running between Tianhe Sports Centre and Xiayuan Station. These new super-long buses are six metres longer than usual vehicles and can carry up to 160 passengers.

For drivers, the change will not be too hard to adapt to. One driver undergoing training explained, "Actually it isn't too hard to control this super-long bus. We just have to pay attention to speed and turning around."
