Shanghai, China, August 3 - A five-people delegation from Broadcasting & Media Services Department of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) flied to Shanghai on July 30 and learned the Expo 2010 Shanghai's achievements and experiences in media services in the lead-up to the Guangzhou Asian Games.
The Bureau of the Shanghai World Expo Coordination sets up an E-News Centre, an electronic information platform, where various information including press releases, notices about press conferences, event bulletins, weather information and traffic information, will be provided to 16,000 accredited media. By logging on to the electronic platform, accredited journalists can have access to live updates of news releases, including texts, photos and videos. It greatly facilitates real time coverage for journalists and has been dubbed as another creative adventure to explore convenient ways to offer all-around media services since the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
Besides, the Bureau of the Shanghai World Expo Coordination also learns from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and offers "one-stop" service for accredited media from both home and abroad.
GAGOC has vowed to learn from the Expo experience and provide quality and efficient service to the media that come to cover the November Games.
