OCA President declares close of Guangzhou Asian Games

The largest ever Asian Games lowered its curtain in a festive Closing Ceremony on Saturday night as Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, hailed the Guangzhou Asiad "a huge success" and "the best ever" in history.

Team China claims No. 1 spot in Asian Games medal ranking

Mr Duan said that till 11:00am of November 27, Team China earned 198 golds, 118 silvers and 98 bronzes, claiming the top spot in Asian Games gold medal/medal rankings and achieving its best Asiad results.

Xinhua: China beats Korea to win Women's Volleyball gold

The Chinese Women's Volleyball Team came from two sets down to win the last gold at the Asian Games on Saturday. The Chinese scored four straight points to catch the deciding set, winning the match 21-25, 22-25, 25-10, 25-17, 16-14.
