Announcing the 1st World Press Briefing of the 16th Asian Games |

The 1st World Press Briefing (WPB) for the 16th Asian Games will take place in Guangzhou, China from December 13 to 16, 2009. During the Briefing, which serves as an important platform for communication between GAGOC and the media in Asia and around the world, GAGOC will present updates on the latest preparations for the Games and services that will be provided during the Games. The WPB will also be an opportunity for the world's media to provide with requirements and suggestions on the services. This will enable us to provide the best possible media services and smooth operations at Games venues.
All media professionals attending the Briefing will be provided with the following information:
1. Press Operations regarding the Preparations for MPC, VMCs, AGNS and Photo Services;
2. Description of the Sports Programme, Medals, Competition Schedule and Test Events;
3. Status of Venues Construction;
4. Media Transport & Accommodation;
5. Press Rate Cards;
6. Games-Time Media Services such as Fixed-Line Communications, Mobile Communications, INFO2010 and Asian Games Network;
7. Description of Games Emblem, Mascots, Visual Elements and Image & Look;
8. Media Accreditation.
All press interested in covering the Asian Games are now cordially invited to attend the WPB. Applications are now open and the application deadline is November, 13 2009.
